Brand Package: InHouss

I am excited to show you guys one of the recent brands I had the pleasure of working on. InHouss is a platform that helps creative entrepreneurs DIY their social media with professional help. They were in the beginning stages of the idea when we met and it was so fun to go through all the stages of the planning, building and launching the business with the owners, Mark and Rachel Sandall.
It was interesting to see how the design played such an important part of the overall vision and execution.
HOW DID WE WORK TOGETHER?
Rachel came to me needing a whole brand package from the ground-up, which made this one of my favorite brands yet. Here's what we worked on:
-full logo package (consultation, version one, changes, version two, changes, version three, and a logo package complete with logomark)
-branding process (fonts, colors, patterns)
-branding guide (typography layout, logo usage, brand incorporation)
-website consultation design (User experience audit, brand addition, layout)
-business card design
-social media post design
WHO WAS THE TARGET AUDIENCE?
Rachel was wanting to reach small business owners with a small budget (since they would have no budget for in-house or hired social media consultation), mostly women aged 25-40, but friendly enough to work for men. We worked a long time to narrow down her audience and I think it's one reason the brand launch was so succesful.

WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION?
Typography played the largest part in this design. We needed something that was very clean and simple and that could be used across multiple platforms, so we left out any extra icons or imagery.
HOW DID THE FINAL DESIGN MEET THEIR NEEDS?
It was important that the design was versatile. InHouss's branding is very focused on social media so we wanted the logos to be able to be used on different images and backgrounds without being too busy or take away from the content. Of course we also wanted the logo to be unique and memorable so we bolded the font and kept it super clean. The audience for InHouss are very design savvy and since the company was just launching, we wanted it to appear very put together and professional.
Mark and Rachel were building the website themselves, but in the weeks leading up to the launch, I had the pleasure of helping them to make their site more user friendly and tidy up the layout and design. It was a great collaboration!
